DX CONSULTANT, YOKOGAWA BELGIUM

April 2021 - Now

Following the latest trends in the industrial automation industry, I am working as a Digital Transformation (DX) Consultant both for internal DX transformations as for advanced customer projects.

The demand of Yokogawa's customers to deliver more complex and digitalised applications is rising.This demand requires resources that have skills on both the automation side as on higher level software integration and the connection with business applications.

The general digital transformation strategy will be designed to:

Help project managers to deliver more advanced solutions
Guide customers towards new possibilities and modernization
Set new standards in the automation world

The objectives of the consultant will be to:

Design and develop internal software solutions
Deliver advanced automation projects with the latest products (e.g. FastTools)
Proactively introduce, propose and potentially lead internal DX transformation projects (e.g. MyProject)

BUSINESS MANAGER, ALTEN BELGIUM

As a Business Manager in the Technical Software department of ALTEN Belgium, I have the following responsibilities:

Business development within IT and Engineering sector
Recruitment of high potential engineering profiles
Management of a business unit (people management, P&L, etc.)

While I can say that this is an extremely interesting experience, I can also say that it brought me too far into the business domain. I am no longer bridging Business and Technology, and I feel that I cannot make as much impact as I would like to make based on my technical background and passion. I am more than eager to be involved again personally in digital transformation design, development and implementation projects.
